MR BASKETBALL JOINSSIM
IN a major expansionary move of its activities, Scott International Management (SIM) has announced that one of Australian basketball's best known and most influential personalties, BOB TURNER, has joined the organisation.
Turner has had decades of uninterrupted success in basketball Down Under, since his arrival in Australia in 1976.
"There is no other administrator, promoter, marketer, or coach - all rolled into one - in Australian basketball with the credibility, integrity, range of skills and sheer talent of Bob Turner," SIM Managing Partner Peter Scott said. "He is Mr Basketball."
"Ever since the early days of our association way back in the early 80s, when we worked together at Basketball NSW, with Bob as the inaugural Director of Coaching and myself as the organisation's first General Manager, I nurtured the hope that one day we will be able to work in tandem once again.
"That this has happened now, at a time when SIM is expanding its activities gives us special pleasure. I have no doubt that Bob's association with our organisation - one of the most respected and best known player management operations on the European, Australian and New Zealand scenes - will be an immensely successful one.
"And it will be of huge benefit to all our clients, current and future. SIMwelcomes Bob Turner with open arms!"
With the impending inauguration of SIM's permanent office in Europe, Turner will become the organisation's "point man" in Australia and New Zealand, with special responsibility for the development of a major presence and expertise in the recruitment and placement of men - as well as women - players of talent, ability and professionalism.
