No nonsense, thank you! That is the main characteristic of Jo Denevan (red #12), here seen in action against Slovak League #3 Nitra.
Jo is the quintessential team player every coach dreams about. She runs the floor well, is an excellent passer of the ball, has solid post moves and is good with both hands. Jo also sets screens effectively, can be fierce in defence, has a good shooting range, but is a much more complete "package" than the usual one dimensional shooter. She has intelligence, a good basketball brain and gets involved in all aspects of offensive strategy.
A highlight of Jo's game is her outstanding rebounding ability. She has a feel for the flow of the game at both ends of the court and is usually the first player to be on hand at rebounding opportunities.
Overall, she is a positive person with outstanding work ethic, an excellent influence on all those around her. Her fundamentals are sound, she is smart, solid in defense, very coachable. A player who contributes at all levels to the team effort and does all those little things which may not show up on a stats sheet, but go such a long way towards ensuring a winning record for any team.
