If ambition and native talent counts for anything, youthful Hungarian point guard Barbi Csipko has a brilliant future ahead of her in professional basketball, especially as the gifts she was born with are combined with a strict work ethic and willingness to learn and improve.
Her first steps in pro basketball were taken with Hungarian club DKSK Miskolc, but in September 2003 she moved west, to the German Bundesliga, when the then Saarlouis coach, European living legend Zsuzsa Boksay called. It took Barbi just a few moments to decide to answer with a resounding "yes". She remains with the German club for 2004/2005, but is open to bigger challenges from April 2005 onwards. She is smart, she is skilful, she knows how to run a team - Barbi is the perfect candidate for clubs seeking a point guard of increasing stature.
