Sam combines all the values of Australia's famed women's basketball development program - technical skills, fundamentals, great shooting hands, grit, determination and an absolute distaste for losing. Combine this with the benefit of Bosman A status and it becomes immediately obvious why she has progressed steadily from competitive basketball in Australia, to consecutive stints in Spain, Greece, Finland and in 2005-2006 to a contract with Alghero in Italy's star-studded Serie A1.
Sam was hampered by a mid-season injury, but after she made a full recovery, she played a major part in the Liga Femminnile playouts, taking much of the credit in these vital sudden death matches for keeping her club in the top division again in 2006-2007.
Sam is looking for another, similarly challenging position again, this time in Australia or New Zealand..
